Boundaries; Zoning Map.

For the purpose of this chapter, the village is hereby divided into the following 12 classes of districts:

Residential Districts
R-A District (Single-Family Dwellings and Agriculture)
R-100 District (Single-Family Residence)
R-85 District (Single-Family Residence)
R-M District (Multiple Dwelling)
R-MHC District (Mobile Home Courts)
R-PAC District (Planned Adult Communities)
R-MRD District (Mixed Residence Development)
O-R District (Office-Residence)
Nonresidential Districts
N-B District (Neighborhood Business, Business Center Development)
B-G District (Business-General, Commercial and Wholesale Uses)
O & L District (Office Building, Research Institute or Laboratory)
I District (Nonnuisance Industry)
A. 

The boundaries of each of the created districts or zones are hereby established as shown on the Zoning Map of the Village of Washingtonville, dated June 15, 1962, as amended, and signed by the Mayor of the village, the Village Clerk and the Chairman of the Planning Board, which map accompanies this chapter and is hereby declared to be a part of this chapter.

Editor's Note: The Zoning Map is on file in the village offices and may be examined there during regular office hours. A coy of said map also be included in the pocket at the end of this volume.

B. 

The district boundary lines are intended generally to follow the boundary lines of streets and similar rights-of-way or lot lines, or straight line projections of such lines, or village boundary lines, all as shown on the Zoning Map; but where a district boundary line does not follow such a line, its position is shown on said Zoning Map by a specific dimension expressing its distance in feet from a street line or other boundary line as indicated.

C. 

In case of uncertainty as to the true location of a district boundary line in a particular instance, the determination thereof shall be made by the Building Inspector. An appeal may be taken to the Board of Appeals, as provided in § 175-125.

D. 

The district boundary descriptions contained in the Zoning Ordinance of 1928 of the Village of Washingtonville, both as amended from time to time, are hereby superseded in their entirety by the Zoning Map which accompanies this chapter and forms a part hereof.
