Benefits previously authorized to be provided to the Mayor and members of the Board of Trustees of the Village ("Board") in accord with Municipal Home Rule Law § 10 and General Municipal Law § 92-a, are hereby ratified. The benefits provided and hereby ratified include health insurance for members of the Board and their families; or an appropriate alternative which includes life insurance for trustees and spouse; disability insurance for trustees and spouse; and long-term care insurance for trustees and spouse. The costs for such benefits shall not be incurred by the Village after May 31, 2012.

Any member of the Board of Trustees shall be entitled to participate in the New York State Health Insurance Program (NYSHIP) Empire Plan provided to Village employees, either as an individual or in a family plan, so long as the Trustee arranges for all costs involved with such participation to be paid and the Village incurs no cost. This participation shall only be effective during the time of service as a Trustee.
