§ TC-5-1 Truck exclusions; bridges and elevated structures.

A. 
All trucks, commercial vehicles, tractors and tractor-trailer combinations in excess of 2 1/2 tons' unladen weight are hereby excluded from the streets and highways, or parts thereof, described in Schedule N.
B. 
Vehicles in excess of the designated weights are hereby excluded from the bridges and elevated structures, or parts thereof, as described in Schedule O.
C. 
The regulations established in this section shall not be construed to prohibit municipally owned vehicles, authorized public utility vehicles or school buses.

D. 
The regulations established in this section shall not be construed to prevent the delivery or pickup of merchandise or other property along the streets or highways from which such vehicles and combinations are otherwise excluded, provided that the route taken to effect such delivery or pickup of merchandise or other property is the most direct route from the nearest state highway, qualifying access highway or unrestricted highway.

E. 
All trucks, commercial vehicles, tractors and tractor-trailer combinations in excess of the weight limit established in Schedule Q are hereby excluded from the streets and highways, or parts thereof, described in Schedule Q.

§ TC-5-2 Parking of commercial vehicles.

All vehicles bearing commercial registration, buses and trailers, which exceed 2 1/2 tons' gross weight, are prohibited from parking on any Town, county or state highway within the unincorporated limits of the Town of Babylon. This section shall not apply to any such vehicle parked only for and during actual local delivery.

§ TC-5-3 Removal of commercial vehicles.

Any tractor, tractor-trailer combination, tractor-semi-trailer combination or tractor-trailer-semi-trailer combination, or any other commercial vehicle which exceeds 2 1/2 tons' gross weight parked in violation of § 5-2 may be removed and then stored in accordance with the terms and provisions of Chapter 6 of the Uniform Code of Traffic Ordinances.
