[HISTORY: Adopted by the Town Meeting of the Town of East Granby 10-4-1989 (Ch. XVIII, Art. 6, of the 1975 Code). Amendments noted where applicable.]
The Town hereby acknowledges receipt of notice from the Planning and Zoning Commission that such Commission has adopted the provisions of C.G.S. § 8-2g, concerning special exemption for density limits for construction of affordable housing. Pursuant to the provisions of C.G.S. § 8-2g, as amended, the Town does hereby create a Housing Agency. This Agency shall consist of five members appointed by the Board of Selectmen. All will serve without compensation. The first five appointed members shall be designated to serve for one, two, three, four, and five years, respectively, from the first day of the month succeeding their appointment, and annually thereafter, a member shall be appointed to service for five years, except that any vacancy which may occur shall be filled for the unexpired portion of the term.

The duties and responsibilities of the Housing Agency shall include those functions necessary for implementation and ongoing administration of the provisions of C.G.S. § 8-2g, as amended.
