A certain document, a copy of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Sikeston, Missouri, being marked and designated as the "International Code Council," be and is hereby adopted as the Fire Code of the City of Sikeston in the State of Missouri for the control of buildings and structures as herein provided; and each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of the 2018 International Fire Code are hereby referred to, adopted and made a part thereof, as if fully set out in this Article with the additions, insertions, deletions and changes, prescribed in Section 500.230 of this Article.

A. 
The following sections are hereby revised as follows:
1. 
In Section [A] 101.1, Title (page 1, second line), insert: "City of Sikeston, Missouri."
2. 
In Section 307, Open Burning, Recreational Fires and Portable Outdoor Fireplaces, insert: "Outdoor Rubbish Fires. Burning of rubbish, trash and garbage shall be prohibited. Only materials grown on the property may be burned on the property."
3. 
Delete Section 2306.2.2, Above-ground tanks located inside buildings, in its entirety and insert: "All Class I, II, III motor fuel liquids shall be stored in underground tanks."
4. 
Delete Section 2306.2.3, Above-ground tanks located outside, above grade, in its entirety and insert: "All Class I, II, III motor fuel liquids shall be stored in underground tanks."
5. 
Delete Section 5704.2.13.1.3, Out of service for one year, in its entirety and insert: "Any tank which has been abandoned for a period of one (1) year shall be removed from the property in a manner approved by the Fire Official and the site restored in an approved manner."
6. 
Delete Appendix A, Board of Appeals.
7. 
Delete Appendix B, Fire-Flow Requirements for Buildings.
8. 
Delete Appendix C, Fire Hydrant Locations and Distribution.
9. 
Delete Appendix D, Fire Apparatus Access Roads.
10. 
Delete Appendix E, Hazard Categories.
11. 
Delete Appendix F, Hazard Ranking.
12. 
Delete Appendix G, Cryogenic Fluids - Weight and Volume Equivalents.
13. 
Delete Appendix H, Hazardous Materials Management Plan and Inventory Statement Instructions.
14. 
Delete Appendix I, Fire Protection Systems - Noncompliant Conditions.
15. 
Delete Appendix J, Building Information Sign.
Any person who shall violate any provision of the code adopted in this Article or shall fail to comply with any of the requirements thereof or who shall erect, construct, alter or repair a building or structure in violation of an approved plan of or directive of the Code Official, or of a permit or certificate issued under the provision of this code, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, punishable by a fine of not more than five hundred dollars ($500.00) or by imprisonment not exceeding ninety (90) days, or both such fine and imprisonment. Each day that a violation continues after due notice has been served shall be deemed a separate offense.
