A. 
The following charges shall be the schedule of monthly charges for water service furnished by the City of Union Water Department for the following periods:
1. 
Commencing on October 15, 1999, through June 30, 2000, the monthly charges for water service shall be:
a. 
For the first (1st) two thousand (2,000) gallons of water or fraction thereof, a minimum charge of five dollars twenty cents ($5.20).
b. 
For the next thirty-three thousand (33,000) gallons of water or fraction thereof, a charge of one dollar fifty-five cents ($1.55) per one thousand (1,000) gallons.
c. 
For all in excess of thirty-five thousand (35,000) gallons of water or fraction thereof, a charge of one dollar forty-five cents ($1.45) per one thousand (1,000) gallons of water.
2. 
Commencing on July 1, 2000, through June 30, 2001, the monthly charges for water service shall be:
a. 
For the first (1st) two thousand (2,000) gallons of water or fraction thereof, a minimum charge of five dollars seventy cents ($5.70).
b. 
For the next thirty-three thousand (33,000) gallons of water or fraction thereof, a charge of two dollars five cents ($2.05) per one thousand (1,000) gallons.
c. 
For all in excess of thirty-five thousand (35,000) gallons of water or fraction thereof, a charge of one dollar ninety-five cents ($1.95) per one thousand (1,000) gallons of water.
3. 
Commencing on July 1, 2001, through June 30, 2002, the monthly charges for water service shall be:
a. 
For the first (1st) two thousand (2,000) gallons of water or fraction thereof, a minimum charge of six dollars twenty cents ($6.20).
b. 
For the next thirty-three thousand (33,000) gallons of water or fraction thereof, a charge of two dollars fifty-five cents ($2.55) per one thousand (1,000) gallons.
c. 
For all in excess of thirty-five thousand (35,000) gallons of water or fraction thereof, a charge of two dollars forty-five cents ($2.45) per one thousand (1,000) gallons of water.
4. 
Commencing on July 1, 2002, the monthly charges for water service shall be:
a. 
For the first (1st) two thousand (2,000) gallons of water or fraction thereof, a minimum charge of six dollars seventy cents ($6.70).
b. 
For the next thirty-three thousand (33,000) gallons of water or fraction thereof, a charge of three dollars five cents ($3.05) per one thousand (1,000) gallons.
c. 
For all in excess of thirty-five thousand (35,000) gallons of water or fraction thereof, a charge of two dollars ninety-five cents ($2.95) per one thousand (1,000) gallons of water.
B. 
The decision as to whether or not water service shall be provided to customers outside the City limits shall be the sole responsibility of the Board of Aldermen. If the Board of Aldermen approves an application to provide water service outside the City limits it shall also set the rate to be charged therefore in accordance with Missouri Law and any contract then in effect.
C. 
The City Administrator shall cause to have completed, each fiscal year, a complete analysis of the water rate structure of flow rates and variable rates to be submitted to the Mayor and Board of Aldermen.

A. 
When two (2) or more residential, commercial or industrial units are served by a single water meter, the rate for such service shall be as follows:
1. 
The owner(s) of the property shall be billed and be responsible for the billing of service rendered.
2. 
Minimum charge. The minimum charge shall be established by multiplying the minimum charge provided in Section 705.100 by the total number of units and then reducing that amount by ten percent (10%). The ten percent (10%) reduction shall account for any vacancies and no additional reduction shall be granted.
3. 
For charges in excess of the minimum charge, the amount of water allowed in any tier rate in Section 705.100 shall be multiplied by the total number of units and the usage must exceed that number of gallons in order to advance to the next rate tier.

A. 
The following fees and charges shall be paid for all connections to the water system:
1. 
Residential (single-family).
Permit fee (per meter): twenty-five dollars ($25.00).
Automatic read meter: one hundred fifteen percent (115%) of cost.
Standard meter: one hundred twenty-five percent (125%) of cost.
All other fittings or equipment: one hundred twenty-five percent (125%) of cost.
Main tap, one (1) inch or less and not including excavation (shall not apply to an existing customer replacing an existing service): one hundred dollars ($100.00).
Inspector fee: fifteen dollars ($15.00).
2. 
Mobile home, duplex and apartment.
Permit fee:
For first (1st) unit: twenty-five dollars ($25.00).
For each additional unit: fifteen dollars ($15.00).
Automatic read meter: one hundred fifteen percent (115%) of cost.
Standard meter: one hundred twenty-five percent (125%) of cost.
All other fittings or equipment: one hundred twenty-five percent (125%) of cost.
Main tap, not including excavation:
One (1) inch or less: one hundred dollars ($100.00).
Two (2) inches: one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00).
Inspection fee: fifteen dollars ($15.00).
3. 
Commercial and industrial.
Permit fee:
For first (1st) unit: fifty dollars ($50.00).
For each additional unit: twenty-five dollars ($25.00).
Automatic read meter: one hundred fifteen percent (115%) of cost.
Standard meter: one hundred twenty-five percent (125%) of cost.
All other fittings or equipment: one hundred twenty-five percent (125%) of cost.
Main tap, not including excavation:
One (1) inch or less: one hundred dollars ($100.00).
Two (2) inches: one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00).
All others: fifty dollars ($50.00) plus one hundred twenty percent (120%) of costs.
Inspection: twenty dollars ($20.00).
4. 
Charges and fees for connections outside the City limits shall be fifty percent (50%) more than the charges indicated in Subsections (1) through (3) of this Section, excluding meters, fittings and equipment.

The following amounts shall be charged for providing water capacity for sprinkler line standpipes and private hydrants:
