Definitions of the terms in this article are in accordance with
those set forth in Chapter 424 of the New York Laws of 2013.
Pursuant to Section 3 of Chapter 424 of the New York Laws of
2013, the Village of Rockville Centre hereby adopts the provisions
of the Superstorm Sandy Assessment Relief Act, and directs that the
provisions of such act be applicable in the Village to the extent
now provided in said state legislation. In doing so, it is the intent
of the Village of Rockville Centre, and the Village hereby elects,
to provide all those exemptions enumerated and authorized in L. 2013,
c. 424, Section 4, Subdivision (a), and the Village specifically elects
to provide the exemptions enumerated in Paragraphs (i), (ii), (iii)
and (iv) of such legislation.
Applications for relief authorized by this article shall be
made and processed in accordance with the provisions of the New York
State Superstorm Sandy Assessment Relief Act.
In accordance with the provisions of L. 2013, c. 424, the relief
available pursuant to this article shall be applicable only with respect
to the final assessment roll which satisfies both of the following
conditions:
