A.Â
The driver
of a vehicle intending to turn at an intersection shall do so as follows:
1.Â
Right turns. Both the approach for a right turn and a right
turn shall be made and completed as close as practicable to the right-hand
curb or edge of the roadway, except where multiple turn lanes have
been established.
2.Â
Left turns on two-way roadways. At any intersection where
traffic is permitted to move in both directions on each roadway entering
the intersection, an approach for a left turn shall be made in that
portion of the right-half of the roadway nearest the centerline thereof
and by passing to the right of such centerline where it enters the
intersection and after entering the intersection the left turn shall
be made so as to leave the intersection to the right of the centerline
of the roadway being entered. Whenever practicable, the left turn
shall be made in that portion of the intersection to the left of the
center of the intersection.

Left turns on other than two-way roadways. At any intersection
where traffic is restricted to one (1) direction on one (1) or more
of the roadways, the driver of a vehicle intending to turn left at
any such intersection shall approach the intersection in the extreme
left-hand lane lawfully available to traffic moving in the direction
of travel of such vehicle and after entering the intersection the
left turn shall be made so as to leave the intersection, as nearly
as practicable, in the left-hand lane lawfully available to traffic
moving in such direction upon the roadway being entered, except where
multiple turn lanes have been established.
4.Â
Designated two-way left turn lanes. Where a special lane
for making left turns by drivers proceeding in opposite directions
have been indicated by official traffic control devices:
a.Â
A
left turn shall not be made from any other lane;
b.Â
A
vehicle shall not be driven in the lane except when preparing for
or making a left turn from or into the roadway or when preparing for
or making a U-turn when otherwise permitted by law; and
c.Â
A
vehicle shall not be driven in the lane for a distance more than five
hundred (500) feet.
When authorized markers, buttons or other indications are placed
within an intersection indicating the course to be traveled by vehicles
turning thereat, no driver of a vehicle shall disobey the directions
of such indications.

A.Â
Whenever
authorized signs are erected indicating that no right or left or U-turn
is permitted, no driver of a vehicle shall disobey the directions
of any such sign.
B.Â
Whenever
authorized signs are erected specifically indicating that a right
turn or left turn or U-turn is allowed, such turn is permitted provided
such turn can be made safely, without interfering with other traffic
and without conflict to any other traffic control device.

The driver of any vehicle shall not turn such vehicle so as
to proceed in the opposite direction upon any street in a business
district and shall not upon any other street so turn a vehicle unless
such movement can be made in safety and without interfering with other
traffic.

No person shall disobey any arrow, whether painted on the pavement
or displayed on a sign, or any sign at an intersection directing any
vehicle in his/her lane of traffic to either turn at the intersection
in a particular direction or continue in the same course of direction
that he/she was traveling when approaching the intersection.

No person
shall turn a vehicle at any intersection or into an alley or a driveway
or onto open land without first giving an appropriate signal for the
required distance:
1.Â
Right turn. A signal to turn right shall be given continuously
during the last one hundred (100) feet traveled by the vehicle before
turning right. Such signal shall be given either by signal lamp, mechanical
signal device or by hand with arm extended upward from the left side
of the vehicle by the driver. However, such signal shall be given
only by signal lamp, lamps or mechanical devices by the driver of
any vehicle if the distance from the center of the top of the steering
post to the left outside limit of the body, cab or load of such vehicle
exceeds twenty-four (24) inches or if the distance from the top of
the steering post to other rear limit of the body or load of the vehicle
exceeds fourteen (14) feet, whether a single vehicle or a combination
of such vehicles; provided however, that this sentence shall not apply
to any trailer which does not interfere with a clear view of the hand
signals of the operator or of the signaling device upon the vehicle
pulling said trailer; provided further, that the provisions of this
sentence as far as mechanical devices on vehicles so constructed that
a hand and arm signal would not be visible both to the front and rear
of such vehicle as above provided shall only be applicable to new
vehicles registered within this State after the first (1st) day of
January, 1954.
2.Â
Left turn. A signal to turn left shall be given continuously during the last one hundred (100) feet traveled by the vehicle before turning left. Such signal shall be given by signal lamp, lamps, mechanical signal device or by hand with arm extended horizontally from the left side of the vehicle by the driver. However, such signal shall be given only by signal lamp, lamps or mechanical signal device if the driver would be required to signal a right turn only by signal lamp, lamps or mechanical signal device under Subsection (1) above.
