A.Â
The duties of the Building Commissioner
set forth in this Code or by the laws of the State of Missouri shall
be performed by such person or persons as may be designated by the
City Administrator from time to time.
B.Â
Wherever the terms "Code Official," "Building
Official," "Building Code Official" or "Fire Code Official" appear
throughout this Section and all other Sections of the City Code and
in other City ordinances and City documentation, it shall be deemed
to mean the office of Building Commissioner.

Except as otherwise provided in this Code, the Building Commissioner shall be responsible for the issuance of all permits required pursuant to Chapters 504 to 527 of this Code in accordance with the provisions of this Code and other City ordinances. In addition, he/she shall be responsible for the enforcement of the Building Code and any other ordinance of the City concerning buildings and shall have such other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned to him/her from time to time.
