Town of Middlefield, CT Chapter 271 Planning and Zoning Commission

§ 271-1 Created.

Pursuant to the provisions of § 8-4a of the Connecticut General Standards, the municipal planning commission shall hereafter serve as a planning commission and a zoning commission, with all powers and duties vested in such commission by statute and ordinance, such commission to be known as the "Planning and Zoning Commission" for the Town.

§ 271-2 Removal of members.

Members of the Planning and Zoning Commission may be removed from office for cause by the Board of Selectmen but not before the member has an opportunity to be heard in his own defense.

§ 271-3 Vacancies. [1]

Any vacancy in the Planning and Zoning Commission shall be filled in accordance with Charter § 603.

§ 271-4 Alternate members of Planning and Zoning Commission.

The Town hereby appoints three alternate members of the Planning and Zoning Commission as prescribed by Public Act No. 249 (C.G.S. § 8-1b).
