Unless otherwise expressly stated, the following words and phrases
shall, for the purpose of this chapter, have the meanings given herein:
Means and includes any air gun, air pistol, spring gun, spring
pistol, BB gun, CO2 rifle or pistol, or any
implement, though not a firearm, which impels a pellet of any kind
with a force that can reasonably be expected to cause bodily harm.
Any percussion-type firearm and shall include rifles, pistols
(automatic or revolver type), air rifles, or any other type of firearm
that fires an explosive cartridge or shell or ejects a projectile
therefrom.
A.Â
It shall be unlawful for any person or persons to discharge any firearms
as described above within the limits of the Township, except as otherwise
provided herein, provided that this section shall not be construed
to prohibit any officer of the law from discharging a firearm in the
performance of his duty.
B.Â
This section shall not be construed to prohibit the use of shot guns
when used with No. 4 shot or smaller shot for the purpose of killing
small game.
It shall be unlawful for any person, persons, corporation or
association to establish any rifle, pistol or shotgun firing ranges
or target ranges within the limits of the Township, nor shall any
person, persons, corporation or association permit their property
to be used for such purposes.

Any person, persons, corporation or association violating or
permitting any violation of any section or sections of this chapter
shall, upon conviction, be guilty of a summary offense. The penalty
shall be a maximum fine of $300, plus costs of prosecution, or 30
days in confinement, or both.
