A. 
The City of Platte City is a "political subdivision" as defined in Section 70.600, RSMo., 1986, as amended.
B. 
The City of Platte City hereby elects to have covered by the Missouri Local Government Employees' Retirement System all its eligible employees with one thousand five hundred (1,500) or more hours of annual employment and to cover under Benefit Program L-1 such employees of the following classes: present and future general employees ("Policemen as defined by Section 70.600, RSMo., 1986, as amended, shall not be included).
C. 
The City hereby elects that twenty-five percent (25%) of prior employment be considered for prior service credit in computing benefits and contributions to the system and to require four percent (4%) contributions from covered employees.
D. 
The City further elects to have the "final average salary" of its employee members determined over a sixty (60) consecutive month period.

A. 
To adopt no change in the contributions from covered employees, keeping the requirement of four percent (4%) of gross salary and wages as contributions from covered employees in accordance with the provision of Sections 70.705 and 70.730, RSMo., 1986, as amended by RSMo. 1988 Supp.
B. 
To adopt no changes in the method of determining a member employee's final average salary, keeping a sixty (60) consecutive month period for determining a member employee's final average salary in accordance with Sections 70.600 and 70.656, RSMo., 1986, as amended by RSMo. 1988 Supp.
C. 
To adopt a change in the Benefit Program of member employees, changing to Benefit Program L-7 [(one and one-half percent (1.50%)].

D. 
To adopt no change in the Benefit Program of member employees, keeping member employees option of retirement upon attaining minimum service retirement age.

A. 
All Police Department employees declared to be eligible who have one thousand five hundred (1,500) or more hours of annual employment shall be covered under Benefit Program L-7 [one and one-half percent (1.50%)] of the Missouri Local Government Employees' Retirement System.

B. 
"Final average salary" for each employee shall be determined on the basis of a sixty (60) consecutive month period.
C. 
Twenty-five percent (25%) of all prior qualified employment shall be considered for prior service crediting computing employee benefits and contribution to the system.
D. 
Contributions to the Missouri Local Government Employees' Retirement System shall be required from all eligible employees.
E. 
The City Clerk is directed to deduct from the wages and salaries of each eligible Police Department employee member the member contributions, if any, required by Section 70.705, RSMo., and to remit the deduction to the Retirement System, together with the employer contributions required by Sections 70.705 and 70.750, RSMo.
F. 
Employee retirement benefits shall be based on eligibility "upon attaining minimum service retirement age".
