No person shall park any vehicle upon a street, other than an
alley, in such a manner or under such conditions as to leave available
less than ten (10) feet of the width of the roadway for free movement
of vehicular traffic.
No person shall park a vehicle within an alley in such a manner
or under such conditions as to leave available less than ten (10)
feet of the width of the roadway for the free movement of vehicular
traffic, and no person shall stop, stand or park a vehicle within
an alley in such position as to block the driveway entrance to any
abutting property.
The City Traffic Engineer is authorized to erect signs upon
the left-hand side of any one-way street to prohibit the standing
or parking of vehicles, and when such signs are in place, no person
shall stand or park a vehicle upon such left-hand side in violation
of any such sign.
In the event a highway includes two (2) or more separate roadways
and traffic is restricted to one (1) direction upon any such roadway,
no person shall stand or park a vehicle upon the left-hand side of
such one-way roadway unless signs are erected to permit such standing
or parking. The City Traffic Engineer is authorized to determine when
standing or parking may be permitted upon the left-hand side of any
such one-way roadway and to erect signs giving notice thereof.

No person shall allow a school bus, trailer, stock truck or
trailer, or other vehicle which shall have a length in excess of twenty-five
(25) feet or a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) in excess of eighteen
thousand (18,000) pounds or a height in excess of ten (10) feet to
park on the streets or within any public right-of-way of Platte City,
Missouri, in any zoning district, except when the same shall be loading
or unloading.

No person shall place any object or thing in or upon any street
or right-of-way within the City without the prior written consent
of the Director of Public Safety. Furthermore, any person who places
any object or thing in or upon a street or right-of-way or who has
control of any object or thing found to be in or upon a street or
right-of-way shall promptly remove the same upon direction or order
of any Police Officer or the Director of Public Safety of the City.
In the prosecution of any charge for violation of this Section, written
consent of the Director of Public Safety shall be an affirmative defense
and any person charged shall have the burden of injecting the issue
and proving same. This Section shall not be construed to prohibit
the lawful parking of a motor vehicle upon any street or right-of-way
nor to prohibit the legally authorized placement of utilities in or
upon any street or right-of-way.
