Article 5 of the Workers' Compensation Law of the State of New York
empowers the Board of Supervisors of a county to adopt a plan for
mutual self insurance on the assessment plan with the cities, towns
and villages within the county which elect to participate therein.
B.Â
The Board of Supervisors of Delaware County has adopted such plan
as specified in such article and has provided by resolution that the
cities, towns and villages within such county may participate therein
by filing with the committee appointed by such Board of Supervisors
a certified copy of the resolution of the governing body of such municipal
corporation, signifying its participation therein.
The Village of Hancock hereby agrees to enter into such plan
with said County of Delaware, as proposed by said Board of Supervisors
and adopted by it in accordance with Article 5 of the Workers' Compensation
Law of the State of New York as it shall be amended, such self-insurance
plan to become operative as specified in the resolution of the Board
of Supervisors of Delaware County, January 1, 1930.
