[HISTORY: Adopted by the Mayor and Council of the Town of
Lonaconing 1-4-1904; amended in its entirety at time of adoption of Code (see Ch. 1,

It shall be unlawful for any person to injure, deface or destroy
any public building improvement or public work during its progress
or after its completion in said Town of Lonaconing. All persons violating
this section shall forfeit and pay a sum equal to the damages that
may result from such act in addition to a fine of not less than $100
nor more than $1,000 for each offense.
Any person who shall deface, injure or destroy or in any manner
molest or unlawfully interfere with the lamps, lamppost or the tubes
or burners attached thereto, owned or used by the Town on any of the
streets, roads, lanes or alleys in said Town of Lonaconing, shall
forfeit and pay a fine of not less than $50 nor more than $500 for
each offense.
If any person shall impede, hinder, annoy or in anywise violate
or unlawfully interfere with any workman employed by said Mayor and
Council upon any street, lane or alley or upon any other improvement
or public work in said Town of Lonaconing, State of Maryland, he,
she or they shall forfeit and pay a fine of not less than $50 nor
more than $500 for each and every offense.
Any person who shall at any time interrupt, strike, resist,
injure or otherwise oppose or interfere with the policemen of the
Town of Lonaconing in the State of Maryland while in the discharge
of their duties shall forfeit and pay a fine of not less than $50
nor more than $500 for each offense.
Any person who shall rescue or attempt to rescue or aid or assist
in rescuing any person or persons under arrest or in the custody of
any officer in the Town of Lonaconing, in the State of Maryland, shall
pay a fine of not less than $100 nor more than $1,000 for each offense.
Any citizen or resident of the Town who shall refuse or neglect
to assist a policeman in the discharge of his duty when properly called
on to do so shall forfeit and pay a fine of not less than $50 nor
more than $500 for each offense.
