There is hereby created in the City the combined office of City Clerk/Treasurer.

The City Clerk/Treasurer shall possess all of the qualifications prescribed for Councilmen.

The City Council shall by motion, seconded and passed by majority vote of the entire Council appoint a suitable person to the office of the City Clerk/Treasurer.

The City Clerk/Treasurer shall serve at the pleasure of the City Council.

In addition to all duties and requirements imposed by ordinance or Statute, the City Clerk/Treasurer shall perform such other duties as may be required of him/her by the City Manager or City Council.
