The City Planner is hereby authorized to issue a permit for the moving of a building or buildings from one location to another location in the City of Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

A. 
Before said permit shall be issued, the following conditions shall be met:
1. 
The person or corporation owning the building or buildings to be moved shall submit to the City Planner an application for said permit, setting forth the names and addresses of all owners of said buildings, the names and address of the person or corporation responsible for the moving of said building; the present location of said building; the location to which said building is to be relocated; the date and time said building is to be moved; the route over which building is to be transported; the method and manner by which said building is to be transported; the intended use of said building at the proposed location; the name of the insurance company insuring said operation as required herein, along with the attached insurance policy.

2. 
The applicant shall provide liability insurance for said operation in the amounts of three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000.00) per accident, one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000.00) per person and one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000.00) property damage per accident.
3. 
The applicant shall pay a fee for each building to be moved of one hundred dollars ($100.00).

The transportation of said building shall be accomplished during the time specified in the permit and shall be done under the direction and supervision of the Superintendent of the Street Department.

No building shall be moved to a location where its intended use is prohibited by State law or any ordinance of the City of Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Before the permit is issued, the applicant shall execute an acknowledgment that the building shall not be used or occupied or connected to City or other utilities until such time that the building has been inspected at its new location by the City Building Inspector and approved by him/her as complying with all of the Building Codes and requirements of the City of Poplar Bluff.

No building so removed shall be used, occupied or connected to any utilities until such time as the City Building Inspector has approved said building as complying with all Building Codes to the same extent as if said building were a new structure.

In the event such a permit is issued, the moving of any such building upon the City streets of Poplar Bluff shall not be deemed a violation of any ordinance regulating height, weight, length or width limits imposed upon traffic in the City of Poplar Bluff.

In the event that the removal or transportation of a building shall necessitate the moving of overhead lines or wires, the applicant shall pay for the cost of said moving and shall include the estimate of such cost made by officers directly responsible for said overhead lines or wires.
