Borough of Longport, NJ Article XII Purchasing Agent

§ 31-35 Position created.

In accordance with the authority set forth in the New Jersey Statutes (N.J.S.A. 40A:11-9), the Board of Commissioners of the Borough of Longport hereby establishes the office of Purchasing Agent for the Borough of Longport, Atlantic County, New Jersey.

§ 31-36 Appointment.

Appointment to the office of Purchasing Agent shall be designated by resolution on a yearly basis by the governing body at its reorganization meeting.

§ 31-37 Duties and responsibilities.

The office of Purchasing Agent shall be under the supervision and control of the Commissioner of the Department of Revenue and Finance. The statutory powers of the Purchasing Agent shall be as set forth in N.J.S.A. 40A:11-9, as amended.

§ 31-38 Salary range.

The salary range for the position of office of Purchasing Agent shall be determined yearly as set forth in the approved Salary Ordinance adopted by the governing body.
