A. Residential
building permits shall be assessed on the finished living area at
twenty-five cents ($.25) per square foot with all inspections at no
cost.
B. Commercial
building permits shall be assessed by arriving at a valuation based
on the use of a building valuation data sheet multiplied times the
2003 Missouri modifier rate times the square footage of the proposed
project and then applied to the following fee structure:

$15.00 for the first $1,000.00, plus $5.00 for each additional

$1,000.00 or fraction thereof, to and including $100,000.00.

$100,001.00 to $500,000.00

$485.00 for the first $100,000.00, plus $3.50 for each additional
$1,000.00 or fraction thereof, to and including $500,000.00.
|
|
$500,001.00 and up
|
$1,885.00 for the first $500,000.00, plus $2.50 for each additional
$1,000.00 or fraction thereof.
|
C. Payment of all construction fees shall be paid before a building
permit is issued. Any building permit must be posted and visible from
the street. If any dirt work or construction is commenced prior to
obtaining a permit, a penalty will be imposed in the amount of one-hundred
fifty percent (150%) of the standard building permit fee.

That building permits shall be issued for a maximum period of
one (1) year (365 days), except that where the permit holder can demonstrate
that unusual circumstances have created unavoidable delays, the Code
Enforcement Officer may, at his/her discretion, issue an extension
not to exceed one hundred eighty (180) days.
