A.
Prior to facility use, individuals and groups requesting use of buildings must provide to the Borough Clerk a current certificate of comprehensive general liability insurance from an insurer licensed to do business in the State of New Jersey, with limits not less than $1,000,000 bodily injury/property damage combined single limit. The certificate of insurance must specifically name the Borough of Oceanport as an additional insured. Failure to provide a valid and acceptable certificate of insurance will void facility use. Users should check with their homeowner's insurance, which may cover this requirement.
B.
As an alternative, the Borough has made available to users the ability to purchase a "tenant users liability insurance policy" (TULIP), which can be purchased for the specific date of use. The User is directly responsible for application and payment to the agency administering the TULIP program. Additional information on how to apply is available in the Borough Clerk's office.
