Permanent full-time employees of the Borough shall be entitled to vacation according to the following schedule:

A. 
Full-time employees of the Borough shall be entitled to sick leave according to the following schedule:

B. 
Unused sick time may be carried from year to year, but employees will not be entitled to pay for accumulated sick time upon leaving the employ of the Borough.
C. 
Full-time employees of the Borough shall be entitled to one personal day per year. This one personal day may not be sold back to the Borough; if not used during the course of the year in which it is accrued, then such day is forfeited. As far as practicable, any such personal day should be scheduled with the department head.

Full-time employees of the Borough shall be entitled to a leave of absence with pay because of a death in the employee's family, which shall be defined as father, mother, spouse, child, sister, brother, grandfather, grandmother, spouse's immediate family and any relatives of the employee residing in the same household. Such leave of absence with pay shall be granted from the day of death until one day after the date of interment, but not to exceed four days.

Full-time employees of the Borough shall be entitled to two personal days with pay to be taken by said employees in his or her own discretion, upon the appropriate scheduling with and approval of the department head or supervisor.
This article will take effect immediately upon passage and publication according to law and shall apply to all full-time Borough employees.
