A certified public accountant, a firm of certified public accountants
registered in Pennsylvania, or a competent public accountant or a
firm of competent public accountants, be appointed annually by resolution
of Borough Council before the close of a fiscal year to make an independent
examination of the accounting records of the Borough of Littlestown
for such fiscal year, and such independent auditor or firm shall also
perform the other duties and exercise the powers as confirmed upon
him or them by 8 Pa.C.S.A. § 1059.11.
