Amendments to this Charter shall be in conformity with the provisions
of Act 62 of 1972 and as amended.
The procedure for nomination and election of all Township officials
shall be in accordance with the applicable provisions of the Election
Code.
If any provision of this Charter shall be judged by any court
of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, such judgment shall not affect,
impair or invalidate the remainder thereof, but shall be confined
in its operation to the particular provision involved.
This Charter, with the exception of the transition proceedings of Article X shall become effective and shall be deemed operative on the first Monday of January, 1976. The transition procedures shall become effective immediately upon certification by the election board of the approval of the Charter by the electorate.
