1. 
On the following bridges and streets or parts of streets, by authority granted by § 4902(a) of the Vehicle Code, it shall be unlawful for any person or persons to drive any vehicle or combination having a gross weight in excess of the maximum prescribed below for that bridge or street or part of street, as the case may be:

Any person who violates any provision of this section shall be prosecuted under §§ 4902(a) and 4902(g)(1) of the Vehicle Code, and, upon conviction, shall be sentenced to pay a fine of $150 plus $150 for each 500 pounds, or part thereof, in excess of 3,000 pounds over the maximum allowable weight, and costs.

On the following bridges and streets or parts of streets, by authority granted by Section 4902(a) of the Vehicle Code, it shall be unlawful for any person to drive any vehicle or combination in violation of the size restrictions prescribed below for that bridge or street or part of street:

Any person who violates any provision of this section shall be prosecuted under §§ 4902(a) and 4902(g)(1) of the Vehicle Code, and, upon conviction, shall be sentenced to pay a fine of $75 and costs.

By reason of hazardous traffic conditions and other safety factors, by authority granted by § 4902(b) of the Vehicle Code, it shall be unlawful for any person to drive any vehicle or combination in violation of the restriction prescribed below for that bridge or street or part of street.

Any person who violates any provision of this section shall be prosecuted under §§ 4902(b) and 4902(g)(1) of the Vehicle Code, and, upon conviction, shall be sentenced to pay a fine of not less than $25 and not more than $100 and costs.

It shall be unlawful for any person to drive a vehicle other than a passenger car, van, or light truck less than 1 1/2 tons on any of the following streets or parts of streets:

2. 
Nothing in Subsection 1 shall prohibit any person from driving an emergency vehicle on any of those streets or parts of streets, or from driving on any of these streets a truck or other commercial vehicle making local deliveries to or pickups from premises located along that street or part of a street.
3. 
Any person who violates any provision of this section shall upon conviction thereof be sentenced to pay a fine of $100 and costs.

1. 
The use of engine brake retarders (commonly known as "Jake Brakes") are prohibited from use on the following highways and roadways within Bristol Borough: Green Lane, Farragut Avenue, Pond Street, Old Route 13, Radcliffe Street, Jefferson Avenue, Beaver Street, Green Street and Otter Street.
2. 
The use of engine brake retarders (commonly known as "Jake Brakes") are prohibited from use on any vehicles upon a state highway or roadway within Bristol Borough, as listed above, upon written approval of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, pursuant to 67 Pa. Code § 179.10 (20).
3. 
Bristol Borough shall erect notice provisions ("signs") indicating that engine brake retarders, commonly known as "Jake Brakes" are prohibited at appropriate locations within the Borough.
4. 
Any person who violates this provision, shall, upon conviction, be guilty of violating § 3111 of the Pennsylvania Vehicle Code and upon summary conviction thereof be punishable by a minimum fine of not less than $100 and a maximum fine of not more than $1,000, plus costs of prosecution.
5. 
In addition to the above the Borough may institute an action for injunctive relief to prohibit or abate any activity in violation of the provisions of this section when repeated violations by the same person or persons or companies reoccur.
6. 
Any governmental vehicles or other emergency vehicles operating under emergency conditions are exempt from the provisions of this Part.
