This Appendix may be sited as the "Bristol Borough Specifications
and Design Standards."

1.
The standards and requirements outlined herein shall be considered
minimum safety standards and requirements for the promotion of the
public health, morals, and general welfare.
2.
Where literal compliance with the standards herein specified is clearly
impractical, the Borough Council may modify or adjust the standards
to permit reasonable utilization of property while securing substantial
conformance with the objectives of these regulations.
3.
The application of these standards in the design of improvements
shall be coordinated with the Public Works Superintendent and the
Borough Engineer during the plan review stage.
4.
The use of these standards, specifications and details are not intended
to replace or supersede technical design and analysis, sound engineering
judgment, or other approved methods. The Borough, Borough Staff, Borough
Council, the Borough Engineer, or their assigns are not responsible
for the adequacy or lack thereof regarding these standards, specifications
and details.
