The Board of Supervisors of East Nottingham Township hereby
agrees to join in the formation of a joint recreation authority with
the Townships of Elk, Lower Oxford, Upper Oxford and West Nottingham
and the Borough of Oxford, all in Chester County, pursuant to the
Act,[1] and to exercise its right to approve any plan of the Authority.
The purpose of this Authority shall include the acquisition of property
by purchase, eminent domain, gift or otherwise to establish a park
and recreation facility that will be available for use by all residents
of the municipalities that have formed the joint recreation authority.
The joint recreation authority shall have all powers enumerated in
the Pennsylvania Municipal Authorities Act, 53 P.S. § 301
et seq.
