[HISTORY: Adopted by the Annual Town Meeting of the Town
of Easton 3-2-1942 by Art. 17

The Collector of Taxes shall collect, under the title of Town
Collector, all accounts due the town which are committed to him and
shall maintain a suitable permanent record thereof. Said accounts
shall be abated only on the written request of the officer or department
committing the same to said Town Collector.
