[HISTORY: Adopted by the Annual Town Meeting of the Town of Easton 5-11-1976 by Art. 17 (Art. 26 of the 1922 Bylaws). Amendments noted where applicable.]
Every person owning land on which there is situated a swimming pool as defined in the Massachusetts State Building Code, shall erect and maintain thereon an adequate enclosure either surrounding the property or pool area, sufficient to make such body of water inaccessible to small children.
Any person who shall violate a provision of Town of Easton bylaws or shall fail to comply with any of the requirements thereof or who shall erect, construct, alter or repair a swimming pool in violation of an approved plan or directive of a Building Official of[1] a permit or certificate issued under the provisions of the Town of Easton bylaws shall be guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of not more than $50. Each day that a violation continues shall be deemed a separate offense.
