The provisions of this chapter apply to the waters of the Fox
River within the Village of Waterford. The chapter shall be enforced
by the contracting law enforcement agency.
The intent of this chapter is to provide safe and healthy conditions
for the enjoyment of aquatic recreation consistent with public rights
and interests and the capability of the water resources.
Wisconsin boating laws found in Wis. Stats. §§ 30.50
to 30.80 and the Wisconsin Administrative Code provisions adopted
pursuant thereto are adopted by reference herein.
That speed at which a boat moves as slowly as possible while
still maintaining steerage control.
No person shall operate a boat faster than slow-no-wake speed
in the waters of the Fox River marked by slow-no-wake buoys in the
area described as follows: That part of the Fox River legally defined
as a portion of the Fox River, located in the NE 1/4 of Section 35,
T4N, R19E, Village of Waterford, Racine County, Wisconsin, described
as follows: that area of the Fox River from the northerly line of
the westerly dam having control gates; thence northerly 1,600 feet,
more or less, to an east-west line 100 feet north of the northern
tip of Fox Isle. Said east-west line is located 500 feet, more or
less, south of the north line of said NE 1/4. The area described includes
the waters east and west of Fox Isle and contains 26 acres, more or
less.

Wisconsin state boating penalties as found in Wis. Stats. § 30.80,
and deposits established in the applicable edition of the State of
Wisconsin Revised Uniform Deposit and Bail Schedule for conservation,
environmental protection, boating, snowmobile, ATV/UTV, and captive
wildlife violations established by the Wisconsin Judicial Conference
("Bond Book"), are hereby adopted by reference, and all references
to fines are amended to forfeitures and all references to imprisonment
are hereby deleted; provided, further, that the costs and deposits
for violations prosecuted in Municipal Court shall be imposed as required
by law.
