There is hereby established the office of Technical Assistant
to the Construction Official for the Borough of Seaside Heights.
The Technical Assistant to the Construction Official shall be
appointed by the Mayor, with the advice and consent of the Borough
Council.
To be appointed as Technical Assistant to the Construction Official
for the Borough of Seaside Heights, an individual must meet the requirements
set by the New Jersey Civil Service Commission or successor entity
for such position.
The Technical Assistant to the Construction Official, under
direction, provides technical assistance in the issuance of construction
permits to ensure compliance with the provisions of the New Jersey
Uniform Construction Code and model codes; does other related duties.
