There shall be a 9-1-1 Coordinator of the Township
of Harmony, who shall be appointed by the Township Committee of the
Township of Harmony.
The 9-1-1 Coordinator shall represent the Township's
interest in meeting with and providing the necessary information to
the Warren County 9-1-1 Coordinator and the Warren County Emergency
Communication Committee for the purpose of establishing a plan for
the implementation of an enhanced 9-1-1 service throughout the county
and, subject to final approval of the Township Committee, shall establish
the Township of Harmony's proposed participation in the statewide
implementation of the 9-1-1 Enhanced Emergency Communication System
as required by N.J.S.A. 52:17C-1 et seq.
The 9-1-1 Coordinator shall serve for a term
of one year from the date of his or her appointment and until his
or her successor is appointed and qualified.
The 9-1-1 Coordinator shall receive an annual
salary as provided in the Salary Ordinance, to be paid in the same
manner as salaries of other municipal officers are paid.
