Terms used in this chapter shall have, for the purposes of this chapter, the meanings given them in Chapter 376, Site Plan Review, and Chapter 425, Subdivision of Land.
A. 
All streets and roads for public use in the Township of Harmony shall conform to the requirements of Chapter 425, Subdivision of Land, except that the improvement of existing roadways under the provisions of Chapter 425 may be modified by the governing body upon recommendation of the Township Engineer.
B. 
All roadways shall have as a minimum the following cross-section characteristics:
(1) 
Crown:
(a) 
Widths 36 feet and less: seven inches parabolic.
(b) 
Widths more than 36 feet shall have 2% crossfall, except four feet adjacent to the curb, which shall have 4% crossfall.
(2) 
Curb: seven inches exposed face.
(3) 
Sidewalk area: slope of 1/4 inch per foot rising from the curb to the right-of-way line, whether sidewalks are or are not installed.
(4) 
Side slopes: beginning at right-of-way line, desirable maximum: four to one (4:1); absolute maximum: two to one (2:1) only with the approval of Township Engineer due to exceptional conditions.
(5) 
Rock cuts: as determined by engineering analysis.

All construction materials shall conform to the New Jersey State Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, 1983, as amended and supplemented or superseded by a later edition.

Curbing shall be constructed on all roads and shall be either concrete or granite block, at the discretion of the Township Committee.
A. 
All streets, roads and parking areas constructed for multifamily, commercial, business or industrial use shall be paved and curbed. The pavement shall consist of four inches of bituminous stabilized base course and two inches of pavement Type FABC-1.
B. 
Curbing shall comply with § 410-5 herein, except that the decision as to materials shall rest with the applicant. The materials shall conform to § 410-3 herein.
