Pursuant to Section 1005(7) of the Pennsylvania Borough Code,
the office of Elected Auditor is hereby abolished.

An Independent Auditor shall be appointed annually by the resolution
of Borough Council before the close of the fiscal year. The appointed
Independent Auditor shall conduct an independent examination of all
the accounts and accounting records of the Borough for the fiscal
year closing.

The Independent Auditor shall be a certified public accountant
or firm of certified public accountants registered in Pennsylvania.

Compensation paid to the Independent Auditor shall annually
be approved by Borough Council.
