It shall be lawful for any authorized organization, upon obtaining a
license as provided in Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law, to conduct
games of chance within the Village of West Haverstraw, subject to the provisions
of this chapter, Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law and the New York
State Racing and Wagering Board.
Games of chance may be conducted on Sunday only when they shall be specifically
provided for in the license issued. No games of chance, however, may be conducted
on Easter Sunday, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, Rosh Hashanah or Yom
Kippur.
The Chief of Police of the Town of Haverstraw shall be the designated
local enforcement agent who shall exercise control over and supervision of
all games of chance.
Pursuant to General Municipal Law § 190, Subdivision 3, certain
repeat authorized organizations may submit summary applications in accordance
with the statutory provisions.
