The office of Township Manager is hereby created.
A.
The
Township Manager shall have, subject to recall by the Board of Commissioners,
all of the nonlegislative and nonjudicial powers and duties of the
Board of Commissioners, including but not limited to conducting and
supervising all Township business and the supervision and direction
of Township employees. All of the foregoing shall be exercised subject
to the direction, supervision and approval of said Board of Commissioners.
B.
The
Board of Township Commissioners may, from time to time, by resolution,
further define the duties of the Township Manager with respect to
the various branches and departments of the Township government and
with respect to any specific matters which may arise in connection
with the affairs of the Township.
C.
The
Township Manager shall perform the duties and exercise the powers
of the Township Secretary as provided by statute, ordinance or resolution,
but nothing herein contained shall affect the office of Township Secretary.

The Board of Commissioners shall enter into an employment agreement
with the Township Manager. The employment agreement shall set forth
the terms and conditions of employment. The employment agreement shall
provide that it shall remain in effect for a specified period terminating
no later than two years after the effective date of the employment
agreement or the date of the Board of Commissioner's organizational
meeting following the next municipal election, whichever shall occur
first.

The compensation of the Township Manager shall be as fixed by
the Board of Commissioners.

The Township Manager shall furnish a bond to the Township with
approved surety in the sum of $500. Such bond shall be conditioned
for the faithful performance of the duties of Township Manager and
shall be in addition to any bond required as Township Secretary; provided,
nevertheless, that such a bond need not be provided by the Township
Manager so long as at least equivalent coverage in the form of a bond
or insurance is provided by the Township Commissioners.
