No person shall litter, throw, deposit, sweep,
allow to be carried by wind or otherwise or cause or permit the accumulation
of any paper, bottles, metal containers, rubbish, trash, waste, refuse,
debris, packing box or carton of paper, wood or other material, fruit
skins, vegetable matter, discarded goods, any part or parts of a vehicle
of any type or anything harmful, destructive or dangerous to animals
or persons or to the health and safety of any person on any road,
street, path, sidewalk, bench, lawn, park, beach, dock or in any body
of water, on any public or private property, vacant lot or in any
public place or public building.
No person operating or in charge of or riding
in any vehicle shall cast, throw, drop, spill or scatter or permit
to be cast, thrown, dripped, spilled or scattered therefrom any dirt,
sand, gravel, building materials, garbage, bottles, metal containers,
rubbish, trash of any description, refuse or any other matter dangerous
to animals or persons or to the health and safety of any person in
or upon any street, sidewalk, public place, private or public property.
No person shall throw or break or cause to be
thrown or broken any glass, glass bottle or container upon any street,
sidewalk, public place or private or public property.

Any person, corporation or association violating
any of the provisions of this article shall, upon conviction thereof,
be punishable by a fine of not less than $25 nor more than $250.

It shall not be lawful for any person, persons
or corporation to post or hang or cause to be posted or hung any handbills,
notices or placards, legal notices excepted, or print, paint, stamp
or otherwise mark upon any post, telegraph, telephone or electric
light pole, tree or fence, bridge or wall of a building or other object
in any street or public place in the Village of Lindenhurst without
written permission from the Trustees of the Village. No person or
persons shall throw handbills, posters or notices upon the streets
of the Village.

Any person, firm or corporation violating any
of the provisions of this article shall be liable to a penalty not
less than $25 nor more than $250 for a first offense and not less
than $250 nor more than $1,000 for a second or subsequent offense.
