§ 11-1 Authority in emergencies.

The Chairman of the Board of Supervisors and/or the Township Manager is appointed as emergency coordinator and may, where it is impractical or impossible to call a meeting of the Board, to meet any emergency caused by hurricanes, floods, fires, explosions, snowstorms, power blackouts or similar occurrences, enter into a contract for services and/or the purchase of material on behalf of the township in an amount not exceeding the sum of $500 during any such emergency. Any additional expenditures for such emergency shall be authorized by an affirmative vote of a majority of all the members of the Board of Supervisors.
