Ch. 25 of the 1963 City Code (Ch. 156 of the 1980 Code). Amendments noted

GENERAL REFERENCES
Licensing — See Ch. 171.
No person shall practice phrenology, fortune-telling, mind reading,
or any business pertaining to prediction of the future, or set up in any building
or other place any advertisement pertaining to such practices in the City
without first receiving a license from the City Council.
All licenses pertaining to this chapter shall be granted by the City
Council and licenses if granted prior to May 1 in any year shall take effect
on the date thereof, and all licenses shall expire on April 30 each year.
The applications shall be investigated by the Police Department.

The minimum fee for the license required by § 156-1 shall be $50 for each location; the maximum to be established by the City Council.
