Every person operating a motor vehicle which
is in any manner involved in an accident in which any person is killed
or injured or in which there is damage in excess of $1,000 to any
one vehicle or other property shall, within five days, report such
accident to the Registrar of Motor Vehicles and to the Haverhill Police
Department in compliance with the requirements of MGL c. 90, § 26.
Witnesses and all persons involved in any traffic
accident shall, upon request of an officer, furnish their names and
addresses and such other information relevant to the traffic accident
as they possess.
