All offices and positions of the Borough are divided into nonexempt and exempt classifications.
The exempt service shall include the following:
A. 
All elected officials and members of boards, commissions and committees.
B. 
The following appointive administrative heads of departments:
(1) 
Borough Administrator.
(2) 
Borough Clerk.
(3) 
Superintendent of Public Works.
(4) 
Chief of Police.
(5) 
Chief Financial Officer and Tax Collector/Treasurer.[1]

Library Director.

C. 
Volunteer personnel and personnel appointed to serve without pay.
D. 
Consultants and counsel rendering professional service.
E. 
Such positions involving seasonal or part-time employment or which consist of unskilled work as may be specifically placed in the exempt service.
The nonexempt classification shall include all other positions in the Borough service that are not specifically placed in the exempt service by this chapter.
