GENERAL REFERENCES
Liability for personal injury and property damage — See Ch. 129, Art. I.
The purpose of this chapter is to preserve and protect town-owned property from damage or destruction.
A. 
Any person negligently or intentionally causing damage to or destruction of town-owned property, real or personal, shall be guilty of an offense.
B. 
Motor vehicle accidents are exempted from the provisions of this chapter, and shall be dealt with in accordance with New York State law.

Any person guilty of an offense under this chapter shall be required to pay to the town the cost of repair or replacement, as the case may be of the damaged or destroyed property, in addition to the penalties prescribed in Chapter 1, General Provisions, Art. III.
