The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania has given boroughs
the option of appointing certified public accountants or a competent
firm of public accountants to make an independent examination of accounting
records of the boroughs.
The Borough of Downingtown hereby elects to
have a certified public accountant or a competent public accountant
examine the accounting records of the Borough in lieu of the elected
Auditors.
The Borough will appoint, in December of each
year, a certified public accountant or a competent public accountant.
