There are hereby created the following committees which shall serve as advisory bodies to the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Lavallette:
A. 
CDBG/Tourism/Grants Committee.
B. 
Environmental Protection Advisory Committee.
C. 
Mayor and Council's Advisory Committee.
D. 
Municipal Utility Advisory Committee.
E. 
Ordinance Committee.
F. 
Recreation Advisory Committee.
G. 
Senior Citizen Affairs Advisory Committee.
H. 
Beautification Committee.
I. 
Municipal Parking Advisory Committee.

Each advisory committee set forth above shall assist in coordinating and integrating community plans and services in the particular area for which the committee is formed and perform such other duties as may be deemed necessary by the Mayor and Council.
The advisory committee shall consist of such number of members as may be determined necessary by the Mayor and Council. The term of office of a member of an advisory committee shall be one year, and each member shall serve until a successor shall have qualified. All terms shall run from January 1 of the year in which the appointment was made.
Any person serving as a member of the advisory committee shall be a resident of the Borough of Lavallette, New Jersey. Members shall be appointed to an advisory committee by the Mayor, with the advice and consent of the Borough Council.
The members of advisory committees shall serve without salary or compensation.
