The Churchill Volunteer Fire Company now organized and functioning in the borough is recognized by the borough authorities, and is adopted as a volunteer agency for fighting and preventing fires in the borough, and that the company and the members thereof are entitled to all the benefits and subject to all the regulations authorized or directed by law or ordinance.
Neither said Fire Company nor any officer or member thereof shall have power or authority either by act, negligence or omission, to create any liability on the part of the borough except such as are created by statute or ordinance.
The Fire Committee of Council shall consult with the officers of the company, periodically report to Council and annually present recommendations for the conduct, improvement and support of the company.
