Building construction — See Ch. 235.
The Board of Selectmen shall appoint a Building
Official to administer the applicable building ordinances,
regulations and statutes; to issue building permits and certificates
of occupancy; to make inspections to assure compliance and to enforce
said ordinances, regulations and statutes; and to perform such other
additional duties as may, from time to time, be delegated to him/her
in the enforcement of health, safety and other related ordinances,
regulations and statutes.

The first term of appointment shall be from
the effective date of this chapter until October 1, 1974, and quadrennial
thereafter.
