[HISTORY: Adopted by the Borough Council
of the Borough of Ephrata 12-14-1992 as Ord. No. 1226. Amendments
noted where applicable.]
A.
The First Ward shall be realigned to contain all that
area bounded from the west borough limits along Main Street east to
State Street, then along North State Street to Locust Street, then
along the center line of the former railroad right-of-way to Pine
Street, then along Pine Street to North State Street to the north
borough limits.
B.
The Second Ward shall be realigned to contain all
that area bounded by East Main Street from North State Street to the
east borough limits, North State Street to Locust Street, then along
the center line of the former railroad right-of-way to Pine Street,
then along North State Street to the north borough limits.
C.
The Third Ward shall be realigned to contain all that
area bounded by Main Street east from Arch Street to the east borough
limits; Arch Street to King Street, then along King Street to South
State Street, then along South State Street to the south borough limits.
D.
The Fourth Ward shall be realigned to contain all
that area bounded by the west borough limits along Main street, east
to Arch Street, then along Arch street to King Street, then along
South State Street to the south borough limits.
A.
Attached hereto as Exhibit A and made a part hereof
is a table indicating the population of the four (4) realigned wards
as established herein according to the most recent federal census.[1]

Attached hereto as Exhibit B and made a part hereof
is a map of the Borough of Ephrata which graphically depicts the boundaries
of the four (4) realigned wards hereby established.[2]

All members of the Council of the Borough of
Ephrata in office at the time of the within reapportionment shall
retain their offices until the end of their terms.
The election of members of the Council of the
Borough of Ephrata under this reapportionment shall be held in accordance
with the Act of February 1, 1966 (P.L. 1656, No. 581), known as the
"Borough Code,"[1] and the Act of June 3, 1937 (P.L. 1333, No. 320), known
as the "Pennsylvania Election Code."[2]
