It shall be the duty of the property owner to lay the pipes and do the plumbing in accordance with the Borough Plumbing Code[2] and carry the same to the curbline of the street or to the edge of the right-of-way, whichever the case may be.

It is hereby covenanted and agreed that the Borough, at the property owner's expense, will make the tap or connection to the sewer main and lay the house connection to the curbline or to the edge of the right-of-way, whichever the case may be.[1]

The proper Borough officers are required to collect this charge prior to the making of the connection. The money shall be deposited in the general Borough funds and shall be used for the maintenance of the sewer system and the sewage treatment plant.

Any person, firm or corporation who or which shall violate any provision of this article shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $600, plus costs of prosecution, and in default of payment thereof shall be imprisoned for a term not to exceed 30 days. Every day that a violation of this article continues shall constitute a separate offense.
