A. 
The following words, as used in this article, shall have the meanings hereby respectively ascribed thereto:
PERSON
Any natural person, partnership, association, firm or corporation.
STREET
The portion of any street or alley in the Borough of Ephrata, from curbline to curbline.
B. 
In this Article, the singular shall include the plural, the plural shall include the singular, and the masculine shall include the feminine and the neuter.
It shall be unlawful for any person to leave any horse unattended upon any street unless securely fastened or unless the wheels of the vehicle to which the horse is harnessed are securely fastened.
It shall be unlawful for any person, except in the case of emergency repairs, to do any commercial repairing, washing, oiling or other work on a vehicle which shall be parked or standing on any street.

It shall be unlawful for any person to use any street for the parking or storing of any recreational vehicle, including campers; boats; boats on trailers; snowmobiles; snowmobiles on trailers; trailers intended to accommodate boats, snowmobiles or vehicles; motor homes; construction trailer; or any other trailer, or any combination thereof, regardless of its intended use, for any period longer than 24 hours, provided that it shall be unlawful for any person to move any such vehicle or trailer from one location to another or to remove any such vehicle or trailer for a brief period of time and return it to the original location or a location nearby in order to avoid the twenty-four-hour continuous time limitation set forth hereinabove.
It shall be unlawful for any person to occupy any portion of a street for the storage of materials and equipment for construction work without first having obtained a permit from the Borough Manager, which permit shall be issued only upon agreement by the applicant to protect the public by the use of adequate barricades and warning lights or flares and upon furnishing copies of insurance coverage to protect the Borough from all damages and liabilities.

Every person who shall violate any provision of this article shall, for each and every such violation, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine of not more than $600 and costs of prosecution and, in default of payment of such fine and costs, to imprisonment for not more than 30 days, provided that each day on which any such violation shall take place shall constitute a separate violation.
