The Town of Catskill pursuant to New York State Public Health Law § 1399-n et seq. adopts the following smoking policy which is applicable to all buildings owned, occupied or controlled by the Town of Catskill.
A. 
Smoking is prohibited in all areas, rooms or sections of said buildings which are open to the public.
B. 
Smoking is prohibited in all common areas of all buildings whether open to the public or not. Such areas shall include but shall not be limited to rest rooms, hallways, copying areas, vestibules, conference rooms and meeting rooms.
Smoking is permitted in designated areas only. The person in charge of each Town of Catskill building shall designate one or more areas or rooms in each building as a smoking area or room. The Town Highway Superintendent shall designate the smoking area in the Town Highway Building and the Town Clerk shall designate the smoking area in the Town Hall. Such area may be changed from time to time as may be deemed necessary.
Smoking is prohibited in all town-owned or -operated vehicles occupied by more than one person unless all of the occupants of such vehicle agree that smoking may be permitted.
