GENERAL REFERENCES

No person shall carry or have in his possession within the Village of Springville any shotgun, rifle, air gun, spring gun, BB gun or similar weapon unless such weapon shall be broken and unloaded.
No person shall carry or have in his possession within the Village of Springville any pistol, revolver or other type of sidearm unless he shall be the holder of a valid permit therefor duly issued pursuant to applicable statutes.
No person shall use, fire or otherwise discharge any shotgun, rifle, air gun, spring gun, BB gun, pistol, revolver or similar weapon, nor any bow and arrow when used for hunting, within the Village of Springville, except in self-defense.

This chapter shall not apply to a police officer or other duly authorized governmental official engaged in the discharge of his official duty or to a person acting in self-defense.

Any person committing an offense against any provision of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be punishable as provided in Chapter 1, General Provisions, Article II, General Penalty, of the Code of the Village of Springville.
